Bel Air PTA Executive Board 2025-26
To be recognized as a non-profit by the National PTA Board, we are required to have an executive board. However, we welcome everyone to be active and participate, volunteer, share ideas and thoughts, and help us make Bel Air the best school we can!
Kelly Mortvedt, Co-President
Kelly is in her first year as Co-President. Prior to this role, Kelly was Co-Treasurer for two years. She has two kids, Judah in 3rd grade and Audra in 1st grade. By day, Kelly works in community and volunteer engagement at Second Harvest Heartland, a hunger relief organization in Brooklyn Park. She loves the way the PTA brings together supporters and champions for our kids!
Layne Vermeulen, Co-President
Layne is in her first year as Co-President. Prior to this role, Layne was Secretary for one year. She has a 1st and 4th grader at Bel Air. Layne works as a consultant for recycling and organics programs and is an avid reader. She enjoys contributing to the school community and the relationships she’s developed with staff and families through her involvement with PTA.
Caitie Beisswenger, Co-Treasurer
Caitie is in her first year as PTA Co-Treasurer. She has a 3rd and 4th grader at Bel Air Elementary. Caitie works in marketing and campaign management at Ecolab in St. Paul. She enjoys being active, and spending time with family and friends. What she loves most about PTA is staying involved and giving back to her community.
Jamie Kauppi, Co-Treasurer
Jamie is in his third year as PTA Co-Treasurer. Jamie has three children; Ames is 2 years old, Elan in 3rd grade and Linnea in 1st grade at Bel Air. Jamie works as a Care Coordinator at Nice Healthcare. Jamie loves being a part of the PTA to build relationships with parents and school staff members.
Alana Grey, Co-Secretary
Alana is in her first year as Co-Secretary. She has two kids, Noelle in 3rd grade and Lucy in 1st grade. By day, Alana works as an operations director for her church in North Minneapolis. Alana enjoys how the PTA connects our parents and school community together.
Emily Johnson, Co-Secretary
Emily is in her first year as Co-Secretary. She has three kids, Braxton in 2nd grade, Barret in 1st grade, and Braylon going into PreK at Pike Lake. She is a Senior Product Producer at Target and loves being outside, drinking coffee, and trying new things. Emily’s favorite part of PTA is building community and getting to know other parents.
